I'm about eight months into tinnitus. I've gotten through the scary nights and now sleep well using background rain sounds and conscious breathing.
However, last night the tinnitus was louder than it has been in a long time, and it kept me awake. I got up to go to the toilet and ended up messing around with my phone, endlessly searching for podcasts. I'm worried I'll fall back into the old habits, which I already started doing again last night—then spending the next day worrying about sleep.
I feel like I start to feel confident about managing things, and then I get knocked back. Probably overthinking. Just sharing where I'm at right now
