Since Getting Tinnitus, Also Noticing a Marked Increase in Fleeting Tinnitus

I first got tinnitus three months ago. Since then I've had some brief periods of near-silence as well as some nasty spikes.

Over the past month I've noticed a definite increase in instances of fleeting tinnitus. I mean the kind everyone gets, where I'll have a much louder tinnitus spike for 10 seconds or so which then fades out. It can happen in either ear.

Before getting the constant tinnitus, I probably only experienced the fleeting kind of tinnitus every few months (if that). Now I'm getting it every 2-3 days it seems.

Did any of you experience this prior to tinnitus improving or getting worse? Is this a sign of anything? Thought it would be worth asking just in case.

Same here. Although I'm at 5 months since onset now and the frequency of instances of fleeting tinnitus is going back down. I don't get them every day anymore.

For me it goes away after a year, I still get fleeting T once in a while along with ear fullness if I over-stress my body or do lots of physical activity.
