Sinister Types Who Spread Tinnitus!

Hi,

I got tinnitus through my own bad decisions.

But many many musicians,DJ's and performers contracted this sickness through their bread and butter work....I hear many are pissed off.

Like the angry herpes victim, the pissed off Hep C I.V user or the lowly down trodden aids ridden brazzer...surely there must be the angry tinnitus afflicted performer willing to up the speakers and fuck us all?

Surely?

Have any gone rogue and just decided to fuck the general public!

It seems tinnitus is a MTD; a Musically Transferrable Disease. We should put condoms in our ears.

Certainly in the early years there were AIDS sufferers who spread it around like vandals. With some I recall it was believed to be a misguided effort to spur forced awareness from the community at large. This was more prevalent in the US in the mid-late 80s (latter Reagan years) when many felt they were being allowed to suffer and die, and no-one could care less. It was rumoured back in the day that some groups organized and hit the blood banks before screening was developed, but I'm not sure that was ever proven, mind you it was pre-internet so covering things up was easier too.

I've worked with some nutters in music, but I've never seen what you may call "malicious noise" intended to harm. I doubt many would have that much foresight. I think stupidity remains the dominant theme with we musicians, not cruelty.

Simple lack of awareness is the problem. Had no idea what tinnitus was before i got it.

I got mine from an idiot coworker that blasted my ears in an industrial accident. While it wasn't intentional or malicious it was just blatant disregard for the health an safety of anyone other than himself.

I agree with Sam Bridge lack of awareness of T is a major problem. When I go t the gym young folks are blasting there earbuds at the highest volume and have no idea the damage they are causing and what T is. I have tried to educate some of them and hope they listened to my message....

Don't think rogue musicians/djs/tinnitus sufferers are looking to infect the unwary rest of us.
Would make a great horror/thriller flick, though!

You no how young people are they think they are invinceable and it wont happen to them. Sam some seemed like they got the message and I hope that they did.
