So, I Guess I Am Having a Spike

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Otosclerosis
      I went to a restaurant yesterday. I didn't think it was that loud but I guess it was as my ears have been ringing really badly ever since. I guess that you would call this a spike. A spike really just means that more damage was done right? I keep a log of my hearing and it's down about 5db overall from yesterday. I know that not statistically significant but it's pretty consistent from day to day. So, is this additional damage that will take as long to recover as the rest (if it ever does)? I thought below 85 db was safe but either it isn't or it was way louder than I thought it was
      What do people consider safe given that our ears are all messed up?

      Loud noise
      I don't measure volume. Just use common sense. As for your spike. I've had one for about 4 days. The first I've had for 2 years, since the T begun.
      But today it's better. Not the same, but better.
      Don't worry too much it will probably decrease again soon.
