So now an additional sound... Like a chime

Started with this almost 3 months ago, high pitched shrill in left ear, thought I was getting used to it, so now today there's also a little bell that rings about every 5 seconds. Does that mean I'm now going to have two instead of one? Is this normal? It just gets worse and worse doesnt it?

No one knows for sure, but i believe once tinnitus is there and because of that maladaptive neuroplasticity any further natural occuring hearing loss will be translated into new tones/sound, volume shouldn"t change unless you have a big hearing loss of 30DB on a wide range of frequencies( that is equivalent to plug your ears with 30db ear plugs).

I thought for a long time it was nothing to worry about, my mild tinnitus didn't bother me that much and it didn't seem to change. It was only in the last year or two that it has gotten much worse, turning my life to suffering.
