I have hypothyroidism and been suffering with a very low level of tinnitus (barely noticeable) for a while. When my hypothyroidism advanced my tinnitus became worse and I became sensitive to sounds, - not only to sound but to most of my surroundings in general. That went away as soon as I began to heal, but then I became sick with stress and my thyroid crashed once again.
The tinnitus and sound-sensitivity re-emerged.
I was then recently put on Mirtazapine, which made my sensitivity to sound even worse, and with that my tinnitus became worse.
They both seem to fluctuate a lot.
If the Mirtazapine is to blame for the worsening, is there a chance that the tinnitus goes down once I begin to heal again, while still on the Mirtazapine?
Or should I get off them as soon as possible to not make it any worse?
I know this might be too much for anyone to sort out for me, but I'm just lost and I don't know where else to go.
