Goddamit. Why when always you start feeling good something bad happens.

I opened a door and bang someone shot with a stapler gun (that kind of a stapler gun that is manually powered by a hand). I was one meter away. (1.1m)

I have been trying to stop asking these kind of questions "how loud is..." but yes now I am asking. How loud could this be in dB? Could this cause hearing damage?

Regular staplers sound too loud to my ears.

You ought to be ok, as long as you are not repeatedly exposed to that noise.

I put my muffs on just to make sure cause I had to do a lot of staples, if was just a couple I wouldn't worry about it.

I work on a school and they are frequently used. I feel quite uncomfortable around them but you should be fine! X

I would try to relax if I were you and not concentrate on your worry. You shouldn't worry about something until there is something to worry about and the more you worry, the more anxiety you will have. Take it easy.

Thank you for your answers everyone! :)

@Sean My right ear felt full for about two hours after this incident. I maybe got a little spike but not a huge one.

@Apocalypse77 - it's difficult enough some days dealing with this condition let alone the unexpected noises which ramps up the anxiety eh? x
