So true! I only learned that recently since my fiance was taking astronomy lol

 

I watched Solo and I thought it was fun and then I tried to watch Rogue One and thought it was annoyingly dark and transgressive and gave up halfway through

no? I thought it was boring, I didn't care about the characters, and it seemed like it was going out of its way to be the darker half of something that Solo is the lighter half of.

Certainly, lots of people clearly had a different opinion, because the movie made a ton of money. We don't all have to like the same things, do we?

All I know is...When Darth Vader picks up Palpatine and throws him over the edge in ep. 6, I now loose my erection because Vader says "NO!" while looking back and forth on Palpie and his son.

SUCH an anti-climatic thing to do to such an epic scene. It was perfect the way it was.

Poor old Mr. Lucas was lamenting about what Disney has done to his vision.
I am a great fan of the films, but Lucas doesn’t hold a candle to Kubrick, Scorsese, Tarantino, just to name a few and I haven’t even touched European directors or other great directors from the States.

A friend of mine installed a copper Japanese hot tub at his digs in California, I don’t know if he still resides there, but it sounded like an awesome estate.

George made some very entertaining films but I don’t consider him a heavy weight...

Still a fan, but needed to put him in his place after reading an article with him whining, worse than C3PO, who I adore.

Well I hope my fellow Americans can enjoy the Joker without blowing each other away, puts a hole new spin on a family outing to the movies.

 

I really want the Rogue Squadron games ported to the Switch or something.

 

I've been hoping for that too, kind of like what xbox did. I loved those games.

 

I missed the whole game thing, we used to bum change and sneak into bars or pizza joints and play asteroids or pacman.

Sure hope the film is good, I read Mr. Lucas whining recently and Mark Hamil getting dragged into politics... although I share his feelings, probably a bad call for Disney. Still hoping the film kicks ass. Alita warrior queen was awesome, although the city was way too clean for a post apocalyptic future. I am looking forward to any sci-fi films.

Scorsese, my freaking hero, was also being a snob towards the marvel franchise. Films have changed... I dig it all... he’s getting old and I know where he’s coming from but I am not so hardcore.

So just keeping this thread alive, we need some upbeat lighthearted banter to keep us going.

 

You'd probably be shocked at how the games are now. The new Star Wars game Jedi: Fallen Order has the main character designed exactly like the voice actor, which ironically is the actor for the Joker in the Gotham tv show lol

He did a great performance on the show, and was also played as the Jokers' Brother who was like a Pre-Joker. Given all that, I won't be able to see the character in the game as much of a Jedi but as more of a psychopath haha

Mark Hamil (Luke) is the voice of the Joker in some of the cartoons. He does a lot of voiceovers... I sure hope the film kicks ass... something fun to look forward to.
Shame Hollywood couldn’t donate a few bucks to our cause... they are loaded.
We’re gonna be alright... just watched the Rock last night "hobs and something", an action movie. I fell asleep. That’s pretty much my test...

Wow, Mr. Reeves has got tinnitus... wish we could get these guys on board, advocating... I loved the Matrix trilogy... awesome. Keanu has a reputation as being a very cool unpretentious guy... Roger Waters posted on the forum, but I never heard from him again... maybe it was him, maybe not.
