I have hearing loss and mild tinnitus. I have noticed that some people have gone to StemCells21. They seem to have had success with some members here on Tinnitus Talk. I have also heard of EmCell in Ukraine and a few other places.

I am just wondering if this would be worth it. There seem to be good results, apparently. I would like to get treatment if I could expect positive results, but I am also scared because there is still not much known about it, and the outcomes seem to vary.

I would really love it if there were Audiogram results available. Can anyone share more information? Has there been anything recent or current about this?

It does seem very promising since they have been treating people with hearing loss and tinnitus for quite a while now. I would love to have my hearing restored.

So, kind of an update. I know about StemCells21, Swiss Medica, and EmCell in Ukraine. I am also aware of Dr. Gerhard Siebenhüner in Frankfurt, Germany, although I have not looked into that very much. I am not sure if there are any other places I might be missing. There is also Stem Cell Care India, but that might not be the place to go.

I would prefer they deal with my tinnitus before hearing. Or both!

@LovableGamer, why do you think they are developing and running trials using stem cells if these treatments are already available on the market? Fake testimonials, placebo effects, and untrustworthy clinics are scamming people.
Yes, that is true. I was just wondering because I have seen others post on here about going to StemCells21, so I thought I would ask.

So I came across Dr. Shim here on Tinnitus Talk. It seems like a lot of work is being done. It would be nice to get treatment, but I am pretty skeptical. I know @SmallRonnie mentioned they were going to get treatment somewhere, but that was a while ago. Others have said similar things, but there have been no updates.

There are some people who reported positive results, so that does give me hope. Still, I am not sure what to think. It would be frustrating to wait decades for something to restore my hearing if there is even a small chance that stem cells could help now. I tried asking my doctor, but he did not know and told me to wait, as a new ENT would be available soon.

I guess for now, I will just try to hang in there.

Mini update: I found a doctor in Washington, USA, so we will see how that goes. If anyone is in that area, it might be something worth looking into.

Yeah, both would be good! I have been looking into stem cells and places like StemCells21. I just messaged a doctor in the United States, so I will see what comes of that. I want to ask him a few questions.

I have been talking with Dr. Shim. Since others on the forum have been there, it might be a possible treatment for me. I am not sure how I could talk to them about it or if they are still active here. I believe @Artemis2K knows about it.

I do not think I could afford the treatment, as I do not have much money. I know GoFundMe or other types of financial support might help. I will try to look into this more.

Nobody on the forums has experienced substantial relief from visiting Dr. Shim.

I hope you will not ask for anyone's hard-earned money to help you visit someone who is a snake oil charlatan, taking advantage of people who suffer from tinnitus.

Thank you, @annV. This is why I am here asking, as I do not have much information. I am also looking into StemCells21 and other places. I do know that things are in progress, which is great. I also know that some members have received treatment with stem cells, and I heard the story of Chloe, which got me looking into it further.

I have contacted Advanced Rejuvenation in the USA. Hopefully, they will respond soon. It seems they offer a treatment for restoring hearing. What do you all think?

@LovableGamer, there are no stem cell treatments currently on the market that are effective. I repeat, there are no effective stem cell treatments for regenerating hearing.

Any vague testimonial from an anonymous source on the internet has no value whatsoever.

A company with a genuinely effective product would be making international headlines.

Rinri Therapeutics has developed a technique that is scheduled to undergo a pilot study this year.

Thank you. Yeah, I thought there might be something, but I guess I'll have to wait. I really hope things work out for Rinri, but I think for most people, it's the hair cell part that is needed. It's great that they have it in the pipeline, so I hope that with the trials, they might be able to focus on that while waiting for results.

@Nick47, you seem very knowledgeable. Do you believe a hearing restoration treatment will become available for us within ten years? I am hoping for something closer to five years or less. If Rinri Therapeutics is successful, perhaps they will offer a trial for those who use hearing aids. If that happens, I might participate, since I believe it could help restore some of my hearing. I certainly hope so, because it does seem promising.

I came across Dr. Chandra Veer Singh in India. He reportedly performed PRP treatment on a patient, and it restored the patient's hearing. It seems promising, and he has received positive reviews. I think it may be worth reaching out to him to inquire about the treatment.

As for Dr. Minbo Shim, I believe there might be something to his approach. He has trained some doctors in the United States. Korea is also quite strict with its medical standards, correct? He even offered to speak with my doctor and offered to come and train someone personally. He seems genuine and caring. There are studies on PRP and hearing that are promising.

Since one of the doctors Dr. Shim trained is located near me, I believe meeting them in person to ask some questions would not hurt.

I do remember a lot of discussions about this a few years ago, but I don't recall seeing any success story from anyone going down that path.

Yes, from my understanding, those who went did have a pleasant experience. One person had their tinnitus reduced after going. I believe the other person only had a 5 dB improvement in their audiogram, but they also had years of damage. There are studies about PRP and other treatments helping to heal or regenerate the cells.

I am also in contact with the one doctor who met Shim and received training. I am hoping to meet them in person. I am also hoping to receive the peer-reviewed and safety data soon. I believe that information will be extremely helpful. I think one of the issues was the lack of available information about his treatment.

@LovableGamer, my advice is very simple. Take your research to an otoneurologist or an ENT specialist, and ask them the same questions you asked here.

Testimonials are to a scientist what an oven is to a mechanic.

Yes, I am planning to try and speak with an ENT. There are peer-reviewed studies and data they can share, which I think would be more reliable than just testimonials. I am definitely being as careful as possible.
