      Tinnitus Since:
      1-25-17
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      L citrulline
Hey guys I seriously can't believe it but I am back to silence once again and I promised myself I would come write back if I was cured..

If you look at my first post you will see that I got my tinnitus after taking the supplement L citrulline. I had no idea why this could give me tinnitus but I thought it had something to do with blood flow. Even though after taking this supplement I experienced fever and ear pain that was on and off for the whole time I had tinnitus, I didn't think to much bout the pain or fever at all instead my focus was on blood flow.

It wasn't until the pain kept coming back that I finally thought that this could be an ear infection. I went to a regular doctor who had my ears cleaned which reduced my tinnitus for one day only. The thing is though the doctor said I only had fluid in my ear but no ear infection. It was weird to continue having this pain and fever without the doctor seeing an infection.

But then I thought to myself and went back to the beginning of when all this mess started. L citrulline converts to L arginine. L arginine and the amino acid L lysine compete with each other. L arginine when increased also promotes the replication of the herpes virus. Now I didn't have any herpes so this why I didn't think to much of it at first but thought I should try L lysine since some people with meniere's disease believe it is caused by the herpes virus and L lysine is very good at suppressing it. I thought there was no harm in giving it a try. After three days the ear pain was gone and the fever was gone.

After one week I woke up and the ringing was completely gone. I continue to take the l lysine and still have no tinnitus or ear pain. Still don't know what exactly happened but just glad it's all over.

People take citrulline to give them better boners. It helps cause vasodilation.

It's possible that this is the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). It's part of the herpes family and is known to attack the inner ear.

I tested positive for EBV 3 weeks after my tinnitus onset.
