"WOW - so we have a brand new Royal baby,
but no name yet??
The suspense is killing.
I've bitten my finger nails down to the elbow.
I just hope they buck up - I can't hold out much longer. Obviously I'm hoping for "Nigel."

I'd love it if they named him Barry or Digby or something. It's officially Louis Aurthur Charles.

@Ed209 - terrific.
Named after the greatest jazz musician who ever drew breath.
He left all the others trailing in the dust.
LOUIS ARMSTRONG !!

(Now - I'm not expecting agreement on this one.)

@ Jazzer Ahh...I was wondering what you guys thought about the royal family stuff.

I hope Arthur after my dad
Well your Dad's memory is certainly there now!!

What about the latest marriage of Harry and Megan? Is that a big deal thing over there?

Have to say that the Royal Family don't really impact on me too much.
We are fed the line that they bring in as many dollars in tourism, as they cost us in expenses.
Who knows.
I suppose I feel a bit sorry for them with their 'goldfish bowl' existence.
All looks a bit shallow to me.
I did feel sorry for Princess Di who married in good faith a man who would always love somebody else.
But then I also felt sorry for Prince Charles, who was in love/lust with his friends wife.
He only married Di because he had always been bullied by an overbearing father.
What a mess.
As for Harry and Megan - I just hope they'll be happy.
William and Kate seem nice enough people to me.

Good ol' Satchmo! I always found the lyrics of 'what a wonderful world' really poignant. One of my favourite ever lines is:

"I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know"

I've always loved that line.

@Ed209

I love that line too Ed.
You immediately think of your babes, and how they will cope going forward, eventually without you.

For three years I played a theatre show all over the country called "Basin Street to Broadway" with 'Keith Smith's Hefty Jazz' and Georgie Fame.
The closer was always this number, which actually I loved playing.
It never failed to 'reach' the audience.

On one performance the band leader/vocalist who'd had far too much to drink, launched into the lyrics with:
"Skies of Green,
Fields of White,"
and proceeded to screw all the colours up.

He was unceremoniously jeered off stage by a less than adoring audience.
Six months later this very talented trumpet player had drunk himself to death.

Whereas I like the number, I can not help reflecting on the fact that there is also so much hatred, violence, corruption, disease, and pain in this world, that it is not always that wonderful, as us people clearly know.

I do not expect to meet up with any creator when this life is finished, but if I do I shall definitely point out a few design faults.

Still like the number though, and the philosophy of sharing the love. x
