Tinnitus — Written Script

I tried this. I was thinking that we learn most of what we know by what we read through books. So, I wrote a tinnitus script saying that my tinnitus was getting quieter and my brain was finding new hearing pathways, etc and I started reading it over a few times each night just before I go to sleep. It's been a couple of days and my tinnitus is way down.
Your brain remembers what it reads... I'm going to keep doing it and see what happens. My tinnitus was horrible. Right now as I am writing this it's not so bad.

You solve complex math problems visually.

I have been harboring some resentments that have been making my tinnitus spike so I added in some anti-anger and forgiveness stuff in my script.

I wrote things like:

Your tinnitus is getting quieter and quieter.
Your brain is finding ways of healing itself and is finding new pathways to learn to listen to sounds without the loud ringing.
Your brain no longer needs the loud hissing and ringing sounds to hear sounds correctly and function properly.
Every day you feel the volume of your tinnitus becoming softer and softer.
The ringing is getting quieter and quieter.
The volume of your tinnitus is becoming softer and less bothersome.
All is quiet. All is quiet. Your mind is healing.
Softer and softer. Quieter and quieter.
Feel your brain healing itself.

 

It's kind of like hypnosis maybe?

 

I still wonder how our psychological reaction can raise or decrease the sound of a physical event like T
