Tinnitus After a Smack in the Ear, Perilymphatic Fistula, Blood Patch Treatment, Advice?

I've seen videos from this doctor but I found it impossible to contact him for price etc.

Also the conclusions on the paper look rather sparse...
The doctor told me $300 per IT PRP injection in 2020. They do the injections 2 weeks apart. She said it helps some and not others. I recently talked to her on Messenger. I asked her for referrals from the US and she didn't reply.

That's interesting.

So you only need 2 jabs over the 2 weeks? It's worryingly cheap too...

An IV of Lidocaine knocks out tinnitus but it's not practical. I know my C2 is bad according to my report from Piper. I guess the neck nerves can crossover to the hearing nerves somehow and cause tinnitus. I still have a terrible high pitched static when I woke up primarily in my left ear.
For how long does IV Lidocaine knock out your tinnitus?

Hi @scotty03874,

I hope your tinnitus has improved. I also had a slap to the ear from a wave while surfing. I experienced aural fullness and tinnitus immediately afterward. The fullness went away after about four months.

No one mentioned a PLF to me at the time, but some 18 months later, after all other causes for my pulse-synchronous tinnitus were ruled out by MRA, MRI, CTV, and two high-resolution CT scans, I am now seeing a neurotologist to discuss round and oval window reinforcement.

May I ask, was this ever discussed with you as a treatment option? From reading some of your posts, your tinnitus seems very similar to mine.

Thanks.
