There have been several threads in the past mentioning whether allergies are related to some forms of tinnitus.

I think there may be a correlation. My tinnitus seems to be more prevalent when I'm stuffed up and I could tell my eustachian tubes are inflamed.

This brings me to my point of conversation. Many people are sensitive to dust mites and their waste, which can cause year-around allergy symptoms. Bedding, cloth furniture, and carpets are havens for them and could cause none-stop exposure to the allergens.

It's virtually impossible to get rid of dust mites in the home, but there are steps to greatly reduce their effect and ability to reproduce.

If the cause of tinnitus is unknown and allergies seem to trigger inflammation that makes the tinnitus worse, I would recommend researching dust mites and take several steps to reduce their population in your home.
