      I've just discovered that there is a Tinnitus Awareness ribbon.
      tinnitus-awareness-ribbon.jpg
      The colors and symbolism are as follows:

      Silver = talking about tinnitus, increasing awareness and raising money for research.
      Gold = silencing tinnitus once and for all, the true cure.
      This awareness ribbon may be used as long as it is used to increase tinnitus awareness and raise money for tinnitus research. Thank you.

      Silver = Awareness & Research
      Gold = Cure

      I found that there are Tinnitus Awareness items for sale on the internet on various sites.

      Hi, Linds,

      I have seen these items on line, on Amazon.com. You might try Googling it and see what types of products they have. I think they have a lapel pin, etc. I'm all about tinnitus awareness these days, aren't you?

      Thanks, @jazz! Now, we need a Tinnitus Awareness Day (or week) to get everyone to wear one of these pins or ribbons in support of tinnitus research!

      Here's a link to one of the sites selling pins and car magnets:
      http://hem.bredband.net/b265875/awareness/
      I'm sure there are others.

      Just looked up Tinnitus Awareness Week for 2015. In the UK, it is designated as February 2 - 8, 2015. No mention of one in the U.S., or elsewhere.

      Would all of you like to celebrate Tinnitus Awareness Week on February 2 - 8, 2015, by wearing a tinnitus awareness ribbon, donating to tinnitus research, and doing all we can to increase awareness of our condition? With over 4,000 members, we could really make a big impact!

      Think the pins look great .great talking point ,when people ask what it's for. Chance to tell them about having T .

      Thanks, Marlene! I'm glad you were able to post the tinnitus awareness information on the doctor's bulletin board. We need to find more ways to make people aware of this affliction, and observing Tinnitus Awareness Week would be a good start!
