- Prolonged exposure to loud music
Hello.
I have had tinnitus for over 20 years and while I have learned to deal with it. However, recently it has seemed to become more noticeable. I don't know if it is simply me being more aware of it but it all seems very odd to me.
When I was in my teens I used to listen to loud rap music with headphones for prolonged periods of time. I am sure this caused my tinnitus. I wonder though is tinnitus basically irreversible? I suppose it is since I have never read of any cure for it.
The odd thing is that I have been pushing my jaw and noticing that the ringing in my ear becomes more high-pitched. What causes that?
Any relief would be great!
