      Hey,

I got tinnitus from stress. When I do hearing tests on YouTube I can hear up to 13800 Hz. My audiologist tested me and said I have no hearing loss. Guess the audiologists only test up to 8000 Hz.

I got tinnitus from stress and it's a high frequency pitch tinnitus.

How could that happen? Why would stress affect the outer hair cells before affecting inner hair cells?

It makes no sense to me. I can see how outer hair cells die faster from noise trauma.

      Best Regards

Does anybody know anything about how tinnitus can be caused by stress...?

      Cause of Tinnitus:
Uncertain, now very somatic, started with noise?
      My personal opinion:
No one knows. The term "stress" itself is too vaguely defined.
It is not even certain that tinnitus has to do with hair cell damage in the majority of those affected.
