Tinnitus, Hyperacusis, or Reactive Tinnitus?

My tinnitus seems to ramp up when I try to get into a noise rich environment. This is true particularly on those days when it is very bothersome. It's almost less annoying in a quite room than when trying to mask it with other sounds. Any insight into this?

 

Same here. i'm unable to even sleep with an air conditioner on because my tinnitus goes through the roof. this also includes sound sound enrichment, television, and white noise.

 

Insight? Multiple loud Reactive T + Hyperacusis = Hell .
Great stuff, when the T is competing with the environment and always staying above every external sound.

 

What is the best way to treat or manage this?
