- Ruptured Ear drum from infections and concerts
Hello, I've had mild tinnitus since I was in my teenage years, it was always very subtle and only audible in complete silence. Recently it spiked up. I had fluid in my right ear and was giving steroids and antibiotics to drain/be safe of infection
The tinnitus went down in volume a little but after 10 days but I noticed it gets very loud after using my over the ear headphones. I did a DB test and I never go past 65db even with intense video games and music. I rested my ears it got better but still worse than I'm used to.
I decided to put the headphones on without any sound and yup, the ringing spikes up very loudly. Just by wearing the headphones, not a sound playing. Even when I take them off and go into a louder environment the ringing is still way louder than it was 10 minutes before the headphones in the same environment.
It is clearly not a volume level issue maybe a pressure thing? Anyways it's very uncomfortable and I'm losing sleep over it.
Thanks for any responses
