Hi, I have never felt like this before. I can hear a buzzing sound in my ear, even when its absolutely quiet outside. But I don't have any hearing loss. I have taken an appointment with a clinic that deals with Tinnitus, here in Toronto. However I am not sure if this is Tinnitus. Should I even go to the doctor's or wait a few days until its gone? Any idea what is causing this?

It's most likely tinnitus, get a hear exam (ENT) there might be some loss in the high frequency levels.
I thought my hearing was good as well until after the exam it showed a deficit in hearing high frequency
      sounds.

Try not to worry or get stressed and panic as tinnitus likes to feed on it.
You have a good chance it will go and even one or two medications at early onset of tinnitus.
Get checked over by your doctor in case it's ear wax build up causing it and if have it a while then a refur to ENT....lots of love glynis

Hi . It's early days so it might just go. But yes go to your doctor.

    6. A lot of people have no measurable hearing loss but still have T (myself included). All tinnitus refers to is sounds in your head. So by definition if you hear things that are not from an external source you have tinnitus. Welcome to the club!

PROBABLY long term exposure to the sound of motors/blowers
I also have no real hearing loss beyond that which is normal for my 56 years. I have also had tinnitus for several years now. It's quite possible to have one without the other.
