      Hello,

I got tinnitus 4 years ago (high pitch 8000 Hz and hyperacusis) from working in a loud machine shop. After 3 years I accepted the tinnitus and moved on with my life.

But a year ago my mother hit my ear with full force with her flat hand (not on purpose), sending my tinnitus into space (left ear). It was maskable before but now I hear it over everything and understanding general conversation has been difficult.

I don't have hyperacusis anymore since the accident, but the tinnitus in my left ear is crazy. It was mild compered to what it is now (extreme).

      -----------------------------------------------------

Does anyone have experience with getting tinnitus from physical trauma to the ear? I would like to get some support / tips on how to cope.

      Thanks and stay strong everyone.
