How can you help Totally Deaf person with nothing in ears whatever only skin taken from tummy used as skin graft in inner to ear canal top. And I have had Tinnitus since age 5/6 yrs old it used to be marching. But now different from both sides as I believe Tinnitus is from the brain.

      Hi @Totally Deaf -

If you are a candidate for a cochlear implant, then that would be my first option - since in a considerable percentage of CI patients with tinnitus, the tinnitus gets quieter (and in some cases disappears completely) when the implant is activated.

Unless I am misinterpreting what you have written above, however, it appears that you are not a CI candidate. Under such circumstances, if your tinnitus is bothersome, I would look seriously at CBT and/or MBTSR. Why don't you run your question by Dr. Jennifer Gans to get her thoughts on it??!!

      Best regards -
