Hi everyone, I am trying to help my stepdad. His story started while eating a bowl of cereal. He said when he bit down on the cereal he heard a sound like something popped and he has suffered ever since... Anybody heard of anything like that happening and if so any suggestions he can try. He doesn't think anything can help but I am gathering info for him in hopes he will at least try. I would love for him to not have to suffer this awful pain any longer. Your help is appreciated.

Possibly TMJ? That is, if it wasn't his ear drum. Or pressure. hmm.

      Makes sense.

T due to TMJ often goes away once TMJ is treated.

This would be my guess too. I think he should talk about this (temporomandibular joint disorder) to the GP. They may want to have him do an x ray in order to confirm this.
