Hey
@gracepixie, I am in the USA, specifically in southwest Pennsylvania. He is located about 20 minutes from my home, recently opened his own pain management clinic, and was willing to listen to my story and try to help.
Just an update following my earlier post: unfortunately, the occipital nerve blocks did not provide any relief. If anything, my tinnitus spiked a bit for the evening after the injections, then returned to baseline within a day or two.
I have been taking Ubrelvy off and on to try to manage the vibrations in my ears. Sometimes it helps, other times it does not.
Yesterday, I found out that I have been approved for Botox. The injections would be around the jaw, temple, and ear areas. I am honestly a bit nervous. I have never had Botox before, and I just do not want to experience any adverse effects. But ultimately, I think I am going to try it, even if it only helps relax the muscles that might be contributing to the vibrations.
Once I try that, and depending on how it goes, we will then consider the Stellate Ganglion Block. The plan has always been to start with the least invasive options and move forward from there.
I will post an update on my personal page after I try the Botox, and if I end up going through with the SG Block, I will come back to update here.
