Using Two Types of Earplugs

Hi there, I've been using my Alpine Musicsafe for quite some time, but I lost one and I have my sister's graduation party in a few days (can't get a new pair in that short time). I was wondering if I could use a foam one (3M) in my tinnitus ear and my remaining Alpine musicsafe in the other ear instead of going for both 3M, so that I can hear a bit less muffled sound with one ear. Does anybody has some related experience?
