Visited ENT Consultant

Hi all.

I had an appointment with an ENT consultant, MRI and CT scans were normal, so no physical cause of my tinnitus.
He also, sent me for a hearing test, my hearing was good so again no sign of the cause of my tinnitus.

I first went to the ENT clinic in October last year, when I suddenly went deaf in my right ear with T. The hearing came back after about 5-6 weeks the T cleared up for a a while then suddenly returned in my left ear. The consultant said that it all could be related and said that he could not do anything about the T, however after pondering a while he said I will give you a week course of Prednisolone and see you in a months time.

Has anyone had any experience of taking Prednisolone? I hope that it works.

Usually this medication is given when a person has been subjected to extremely loud noises within about 78 hours or so. Maybe others have had a different experience. I have never taken it myself.

Are you going to try it?

 

Yes, anything is worth a try to get rid of T.

Okay hope you find some relief. You never know.

 

Yes , was on it two time first 5 days then they up it to 12 days . Did not help me was given too late . But it make me want to walk up the wall . My body was not used to all that drugs , I guess. Worth the try .
