Cause of Tinnitus
Noise
So I wake up this morning surrounded by noise - there's a forest fire raging in the left side of my head.
No it's not a spike - I don't get those - it's nothing new - for the simple reason that my noise stays at full pelt all of the time.
Yes - all of the 'Effing' time.
I know many of you will be experiencing forest fires of your own, so I won't go on about it - but you at least know what I am talking about - unlike the entire 'rest of the oblivious world.'

This is just a glimpse at the unique "Hell" that Mother Nature has chosen to visit upon us unlucky ones.
Six hours of sleep, but I wake up tired, fully aware that my blasted neurons have been firing away all night, because, apparently, my Default Mode Network has been blown out of the water by this wretched condition.

But I'm that positive guy - eh?
The guy that does all that meditation and stuff.
And that's true.
In half an hour I will be laying in my lovely warm bath - still aware of noise, but somehow managing to put myself out, and drift away for a few precious moments.

It's all about coping, isn't it, because that is our only course of action - it isn't an option for the simple reason that with an option, you get alternatives.

Now that's my ten minutes of self indulgent noise analysis.
There is no point in 'sugar-coating' the facts, right.
However, I do not intend to spend any more time considering the reality of the damage to my neuronal pathways.

Where our thoughts go, our feelings will follow close behind, so we need to get some control, and get thinking along the right lines.
We coped okay yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that......so it's that 'coping time' again.
Coping is what we do.
In fact we are past masters.
We are "the Copers!"

Yes - it's a type of hell - but to hell with it.
It's still my life, and I intend to bloody well live it - so there !!

Love it @Jazzer - thanks for the inspiration!

That's a song right there . I can even hear the chord changes under those lyrics .

@Ed209 - love it Ed - the way we think!
Great being a muso eh.
I'm just about to jump in the car and drive to Colchester for an all star gig.
(Ear plugs are at the ready.)
Very Best to you,

@Jazzer Thank you for sharing this. Some of us cant even begin to explain this life changing condition. If you have more, please continue to share. Wishing you good days ahead.

@OnceUponaTime - That is very kind of you.
I have to admit that since this wretched thing hit me really hard four years ago, I have been 'thinking more,' analysing more, talking more, and writing more.
Your problem may not be keeping me going, but 'shutting me up!'
I am very well aware that, because we have this ongoing racket - being 'head busy' (thinking) is a good diversion.
Must go for now.
Just about to go on stage.
Must talk again.
Best wishes
Jazzer
