So a quick version of my story.... I have had 13 surgeries on my ears (long story) and for the last 5 years or so have had T. Mine is in both ears and seems to change tone and volume. It can sound like a telephone ringing or a fire alarm or just very loud white noise. I already have hearing loss so the T on top of it sometimes makes hearing/ understanding people a challenge. Especially at work where I answer phones. My current job does not provide benefits and it's been hard to find a decent paying job where my hearing and T wouldn't be an issue.
