Our family is currently debating this as we all see different things. It's either pink or turquoise for us.

It's same effect as the dress picture from a while back. So, what do you see?

No wait, I take that back. They are grey and turquoise!? :)

Vital question! Is the image manipulated in any way? :coffee:

They are light pink on my screen.
The stripes? You might need to color calibrate your monitor. :)

It's just how we process colours.
I will take that as a No. :coffee:

It's either seen as white and gold or blue and black.
IRL or when viewed on a monitor? As I said to Sandra here, monitors can display colors differently and may need to be calibrated.

It looks like it's white and gold. I am viewing it on a desktop computer with a high quality NEC monitor.

It's obvious that some of the information can get lost in transmission when you transmit an image electronically. But I get the idea, it's very easy to trick our senses and some of us inherently view things differently.

So what's the result? How many people have you asked? How many people think it's one or the other? :) You made me curious!

It's a known phenomenon Samir, and in a way shows how our brain perception can change and be different. The monitor is irrelevant, it's possible to see both colour variations like I can. You have to adjust your perception and suddenly, boom, your brain WILL change the perception.

Great... now you made me stare at that dress for 5 minutes! o_O

It's not happening! :) How do I adjust my perception without adjusting my monitor?

The lower part kind of looks dark (more shadows), with the gold part turning into light cyan, but the top part of the dress is revealing its "true" color.

You can't force it, but sometimes looking at the imagine under different lighting conditions will trigger the switch. Once your brain changes, it can be difficult to change back.

Here's another interesting one:

Which way does the woman spin?

Which way does the woman spin?
 What you do?! I was about to type she is spinning "counter clockwise" and as continued to edit my post and then looked back up at the image I see she is now spinning clockwise!

Fun stuff for sure! :)

Nope, the stripes are white and the rest is light pink :p

The spinning lady is a real mind fuck. I have seen it before and she used to change direction suddently, when I stared at it for a good while.....Now I have stared at it again for quite a while and so far she has not changed direction from spinning clock wise :D

It's just how we process colours. Another famous image in this regard is this one:

Oh yes, the famous dress :D That one changes colour for me, about a minute ago it was clearly black and blue.......now it is gold and white and I can't see any black/blue.

Hey I now see the dress as blue and olive! :nailbiting: How did I land at olive?... now I am concerned my well being.:coffee:

Man, the lady has twisted my mind some in the past. It's an amazing optical illusion. The dress is still black and blue to me, but I'm going to have to rescind my vote on the shoes.

Yesterday they looked turquoise/grey to me, but today white/pink! Either it is because I'm looking at it with a different monitor, or I'm finally starting to look at things through rose-colored glasses
