      Good morning, everyone!

      I have a question.

When we have a TTTS (tonic tensor tympani syndrome), does the muscle still play a protective role when we are exposed to sudden loud sounds and/or exposed to loud sounds for several minutes/hours?

(I no longer expose myself to loud noises on purpose but you never know)

Thank you for your answer! :)

It should (as TTTS is just that muscle's threshold to be triggered being lower). But it isn't a lot of protection.
