  • Physical therapist made my T and H worse while doing massage to make my T and H better... Unbelievable. I was shocked so I didn't left room

I am literally praying rn before going to bed that everything is going to be okay and I won't woke up with a spike in H and T. I'm so scared. I am also only trying to get meds for panic attacks. I won't survive a flare up :c
My physical therapist is so good at fixing my jaw. Literally 10/10 BUT she made my Hyperacusis much worse due to loud talking :c

My allergies test was alright. I'm allergic only to mold and dust. No plants or food. But I'm worried about my hyperacusis so much. I think I'll refuse to see my physical therapist until my hyperacusis is totally gone. Or perhaps I'll use earplugs all session long. Can't stand loud speaking next to my ears
Tomorrow I have an allergy test on my skin. I'll find out what I'm allergic to. ENT thinks it may cause tinnitus. It's 100% not but I agreed

Also, I was able to get a referral to a psychiatrist who prescribes anything you ask him for. Well, at least judging by his prescription records from 2019. I am so close to get real meds for my panic attacks... finally no "take hydroxyzine or amitriptyline" BS!

I was able to obtain not ototoxic migraine medication for my daily headaches, now I'm finally about to get not ototoxic panic attack meds. I'm finally ditching ibuprofen and antidepressants. Life is slightly getting better, even if only by 0.01%.

I will not miss antidepressants, but ibuprofen is so so good in managing even above average moderate pain. It's such a shame I can't use it anymore safely. It helps with headaches and toothache 100% of the time. It was such a life-savior. Same with paracetamol and NightQuill syrups. That's unfair that all of them are extremely ototoxic! :c
Tinnitus is deafening today + crazy headache. I did use THC but not sure if it's all related. I feel so bad, so so bad. Almost in agony lol
Okay. I don't like the new hissing tone in my left ear, but at the very least now all my ears are bad. I think this is fair :c No good ears.

I'd say most tinnitus progresses to a dual ear problem over time.
1 am. February 11th. I got a new tinnitus tone in my left (good) ear. I have no words. But I know it's forever with me. Just like the others

8 am. It still there. Well, I guess I did something wrong or this is just my fate to suffer. I was protecting my ears like crazy. Grocery store is only with earbuds. Walking near the road only with earbuds. Listening to music only without headphones (until 2 days ago) and even when I started using headphones again the volume was set to 6 out of 100. They couldn't cause this, I just don't believe it...

I think I'll start over-protect my left ear today...I honestly don't know what to do. A new sound after 2.5 months of tinnitus is crazy how scary. I just had a great day yesterday and here we are, back to square one. I love my life lmao
Tomorrow is first appointment with physical therapist to discuss my TMJ. Zero expectations I just hope won't be any worsening of my symptoms

Well, I do have severe TMJD. My PT is a nice woman and she said my TMJ absolutely can cause tinnitus and my ENT is wrong about everything. Typical stuff for us, all doctors say different things. Next week I have Allergies test, and an hour later TMJ massage. We will see how it goes...
Forgot to add: TMJ massage is uncomfortable and very painful. I hope it worth it ._.
Loud popping/clicking sounds in my ears are gone if I swallow a food but if it's just an air they are immediately back ._. The mystery...
Got prescribed meds for my tinnitus induced daily headaches. 10 pills cost 1177 dollars. I miss days when I could just take ibuprofen man
    4Grace
    What pills are those?
    _Shoto_
@4Grace, they are called Ubrelvy. My PCP said these are the only meds in the USA that don't cause tinnitus or problems with jaw (I have TMJ as well)
Getting tinnitus changed my views on problems. I never had any before November 24th 2023. Just minor inconveniences at max. I was an idiot..
    gameover
    Preach, brother.

    I feel this.

100 percent. I feel like my family and friends are reaping the rewards. They feel so much better about the problems they believed they had. Now they say … well at least they are not like me.
Crying every day when my mom isn't at home. It's so lonely and silent. No one to talk to. My tinnitus is so high-pitched... It's painful...

I feel this to. My T is pretty high its like a laser beam going through my head. Sorry we have to experience this.
Listening to masking videos is painful. They help for the duration of the video but then when it ends the pain hits your head with all force
    4Grace
Your T and H sounds like mine. So sorry.
Currently having a panic attack with no meds for this. I am not able to accept...I am not. I just can't. I'm only 21. This is the end
Yesterday I did something with my jaw and my popping in the ears stopped for 5 mins. It felt so good. I really may have TMJD after all
68 days since tinnitus and ~55(?) days since hyperacusis. I finally starting to get used to the ringing and my Hyperacusis also seems better
    Heal82
Hi shoto, may I how severe was your Hyperacusis and what did you do make it better ? I got my Hyperacusis when ear irrigation was used to remove ear wax.
    _Shoto_
Hi @Heal82, my hyperacusis also possibly started after ear irrigation. My Family doc did it 1 week after my tinnitus started because he thought earwax may be the problem. The first 2 days many sounds were distorted, especially the plastic bag and paper, but all that went away after a week. However, my hyperacusis still remains. It was, 5/10, now 3/10. I still can't tolerate normal speech, but slowly it gets better
Awaiting the miracle. I still hope for the full recovery even though it seems extremely unlikely. Am I too pessimistic? We will find out! :D
