I'm going to go for one whole week without headphones or earbuds, at any point at all! I'm already one day in, and I'm seeing some progress.

  Good move ! I used headphones for like 2-3weeks after my trauma and didnt noticed any spikes, but no progress either.
  Maybe it was coincidence, but as soon as I stopped headphones. Everything went better for me !

My tinnitus gets worse whenever I lay down, I get back up and then I'm fine. Same goes when trying to relax. Gets worse until I stop trying.

  Sometimes it's ETD or problems with the neck and jaw. I wake up to loud noise...seem pretty good atm.

  That's usually when I'm the worst. I lie down and it gets worse instantly. I get up and I'm fine. But whenever I'm asleep, I wake up and I usually have five or ten minutes of pure silence.
