    Back to Silence

Hi Terry, first of all thank you very much for sharing your method. I'm so glad it worked so effectively for you! I have tried using it several times, but I think I was not consistent enough. Anyway, I have found things that help me a lot like yoga, meditation, sleeping well, etc. I don't know...

Feeling Better About Tinnitus After 10 Months, Still Struggling with Mysterious Ear Pressure

I wish it's somatic, but really after all this time I lost some hope in that regard. Obviously I went to several ENTs without getting great results, they gave me different medications but nobody gave me ear drops. Do you suggest trying a particular one even if an ENT has not prescribed it for...

Feeling Better About Tinnitus After 10 Months, Still Struggling with Mysterious Ear Pressure

Thanks for responding, I agree that our ears are very sensitive. So, in your opinion, is there anything that can be done about it, assuming the cause is fluid built up in the back of the ears? Or all that can be done is trying to reduce stress?

Feeling Better About Tinnitus After 10 Months, Still Struggling with Mysterious Ear Pressure

Hi, 10 months after my acoustic trauma, I can say that I feel much better about my tinnitus. I do not feel totally habituated, I have good and bad days but little by little I begin to have longer and longer moments where I don't even perceive the sound. However, what still worries me is the...

Hello, after more than 7 months since my acoustic trauma, I am better but still suffering. There are times when I feel that everything returns to normal but at other times (like right now, that's why I'm writing this here) I can't stop thinking about this little problem. What makes me keep...

When I Open My Mouth or Smile, My Eardrum Vibrates and Feel Some Pain — Is It a TMJ Issue?

I feel that my eardrum vibrates, when I open my mouth a lot or when I smile. It is almost imperceptible unless I have the earplugs on. Does this have to do with a TMJ issue? I also feel pain, so I think there may be some jaw problem. I also thought it could be due to a small lesion in the...

Hello again, in the last days my t is coming very well, but I'm having "pain" or a feeling of full ear. The jaw makes noises when I move it, and also if I move like inside the ear something "cracks". Can acoustic trauma trigger TMD? How can I really know the cause of the symptoms? Thanks!

First of all, thanks again @Bill Bauer for all the information and for taking your time to help other people on the forum. :thankyousign: It sounds quite logical, and I think the comparison is very coherent. With the difference that in this case, they are injuries that we don't really know how...

Thanks for your answers @Bill Bauer ! Do you think it's real that going to a bar to see a band for one or two hours can make things worse? Or do you think it is something psychological? Like the fear of it getting worse can "make it worse". I wouldn't like to never go to see a band again. :( I...

Hi all! My name is Gastón, I just want to introduce my story. I’m from Argentina, so English isn’t my native language…sorry for the writing mistakes! About 3 and a half months ago I got tinnitus and mild hyperacusis due to an acoustic trauma/shock caused by a high frecuency noise in headphones...

5th Year of Tinnitus and It Got a Lot Better

Hi, this is my first time commenting on a post here. Soon I will also create my own thread with my story (I hope a success story) :D I'm happy you've reached that state! How long did it take you? The cause was acoustic trauma? Thanks!
