Tinnitus is usually considered to be improving if it goes from a tone to a hiss, and in general; if it becomes more tolerable over time.

Head ache decreases, loudness decreases, reactivity decreases, mood stabilizes.

I loved that it was just a sound, and by the way static, I lived pretty well that way.
