    Parotid Glands and Ears?

I believe I posted them in another thread and you commented on them. Just a general hearing test which showed some conductive hearing loss (which also showed no acoustic reflex? and the air bone gap) and tuning fork test. I dont hear the loss yet in every day life, but I do hear it sometimes...

    Parotid Glands and Ears?

I have taken a few tests. The basic tests to confirm mild conductive hearing loss. But no imaging, my doctor still won't allow it/doesn't think its necessary.

    Parotid Glands and Ears?

Hey guys, Still got T and that weird sound in my hearing loss ear. I am starting to slowly accept I probably am suffering from otosclerosis, when all of a sudden the past week something strange happened which made me start questioning things anew. Recently, every time I eat, I notice I need to...

    Could Fungal Infections Cause Tinnitus?

I know I made a thread about my tinnitus slowly getting better, and it totally was, until I stopped taking the sudafed and mucinex. Now i feel like lately its back to where it was. :( I truly dont understand how my tinnitus came to be and i will never rest until i find out. It happened so...

For Those Who Suspect Their Tinnitus Is Due to Fluid...

It is a bit like that, but not the humming. I have a severe deviated septum to which I received from a bad rhinoplasty job 3 years ago (around the time my ear issues started as well as my "acid reflux" that i strongly think is actually just symptoms of severe post nasal drip... So that was my...

For Those Who Suspect Their Tinnitus Is Due to Fluid...

Hey everyone, I have been struggling with tinnitus for a little over 2 months now, and it actually started with a clear ringing in my left ear, which has stayed, and within a week or two, a NEW, static sound in my RIGHT ear began as well. Almost as if there was cotton in there, or that I was...

Can Someone Help Me Figure Out How I Got Tinnitus?

The tests show no signs of sensorineural hearing losses though so I think we can rule out that the tinnitus in the right ear could be caused by that. I dont want to have to worry about that unless I have good reason. So right ear tinnitus - just coincidental.

Can Someone Help Me Figure Out How I Got Tinnitus?

So if its cochlear otosclerosis it can just lead to permanent deafness? How do I test for this to take action now? Wouldn't it be better to have a stapedectomy if so, even though I have no hearing loss, just so it doesn't spread? Now I'm uber confused

Can Someone Help Me Figure Out How I Got Tinnitus?

He did the rinne test which also confirmed conductive hearing loss - i heard it in my left ear more. He refuses to do explorative surgery, and does not think I need a CT. I can agree its very possible it looks like otosclerosis, yet why am I having an incessant ringing in my RIGHT ear? From...

Can Someone Help Me Figure Out How I Got Tinnitus?

My doctor thinks its otosclerosis. I might have that. But some things dont add up. :( I am only 24, F. I did a hearing test because I had tinnitus in my RIGHT ear on and off for a month or two. The hearing test revealed normal hearing in my RIGHT ear with the T, but mild hearing loss in LEFT...

Otosclerosis or ETD... Or Anything Else? Both? Help!

I really wonder how my right ear is the one ringing but has no signs of hearing loss and my left ear has hearing loss, apparently, yet is fine. I just wish I had answers.

Otosclerosis or ETD... Or Anything Else? Both? Help!

He told me I had done all the tests I needed to do since I went to get my hearing tested prior to the appointment (I know they put me in the sound booth, repeated words, checked my pressure and nerves which were all normal apart from the hearing), I didn't know about audiogram. I should have...

Otosclerosis or ETD... Or Anything Else? Both? Help!

BTW, i also am having a terrible outbreak of sebborhea on my head which spread a bit to my face this year. it is also on the outsides of my ear I assume because the skin there is always flaking off. It is a fungus. I had suspicions that it could be causing the itchiness in my ear but am not sure.

Otosclerosis or ETD... Or Anything Else? Both? Help!

Hey everyone, I have had weird ear problems for 1 year now. I have had general health issues (reflux, rhinitis, etc) for 3 years now, ever since having had a nose job which left me with a severely deviated septum. Last summer, I was getting dressed for the day when my ear (cant remember which...
