      Hey Nick, I just briefly read your cause of tinnitus. Did the tinnitus start after the hit from the wave with the hearing loss and worsen with the virus? Are you experiencing tinnitus in just one or both ears? One or more than one sound? Any issues with sound sensitivity? These answers will allow others to help give some advice :)

        Hi Erika. It's a complex issue it seems. Tinnitus and all other issues were just in the left ear. I went through a round of Prednisone which did bring my hearing back some.. Afterwards I opted to do the inner ear injections which initially seemed to help, but now a little over two months later since this all started I am feeling I've taken a huge step back.

    Cause of Tinnitus:
    Unknown
    A musician since age 7; now age 34. Recent tinnitus and mild hearing loss in left ear caused by being hit in the ear with a wave in the ocean, followed by a (likely) viral sinus infection which (likely) went into my ear and caused the issue. Needless to say the doctors aren't sure what caused it, but those are the suspected culprits.

    I enjoy music, reading, restaurants, travel, spirituality, natural medicines, podcasts etc. I'd like to think of myself as a relatively decent human with many flaws that I at times try my best to work on.
