Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
@SarahMLFlemmer does your tinnitus react, spike, or worsen to sound? If not, I would surround yourself with low level every day sounds. Put TV on, music, go outside. I SO wish my tinnitus was not reactive to sound, I probably wouldn't even be on this site if I could mask it.
Costco is a busy place too, I'm so sorry <3 you may have to try many things till you can find something that suits you.
I can only go by what's worked for me coping wise. I'm used to mine somewhat more after having jt so long that I can tune it out but I still use distraction techniques @SarahMLFlemmer
@SarahMLFlemmer i think you would know if it was spiking or reacting. For example, sounding louder, more intrusive, and/or aggravated after getting out of shower, driving, going into noisy store, etc.
Mine is about 3-6 sounds at any given time, 4/10 volume BUT so reactive and constantly changing pitch. Very high freq. also piercing like I can feel it.
