Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
@MiaVIL I can't do the whole treatment with them because they are not licensed in PA. I can basically pay for everything but the medication prescriptions and meeting with the healthcare professional. So I would need to have a local healthcare professional agree to be the one to do the medication with me. I am waiting for the latest study to be released to see the stats and facts before proceeding.
@ECP i work in a school and just went back 3 weeks ago after summer break. The issue is I spiked 2-3 times this summer and started the school year spiked. My caseload is huge and lots of behavior cases. I have sick days left but trying to use sparingly right now as I already took a year and a half leave from the school from Fall 2022-March 2024 because of the T.
That's a tough situation. Does your school by chance have one of those HR programs where employees can donate their unused sick days and vacation days to employees who need extra time off for medical reasons?
@Jupiterman it's so frustrating because I actually did pretty well and stayed stable March - early June when school got out. It was a few noise events, one travel event, and the use of too deep of ear plugs over the summer that kept me spiked and then not enough time to return to baseline. I actually called a speech teletherapy (work from home) business yesterday to inquire, will get more info on that.
