  • Does anyone have recommendations for earplugs that won't break skin in your ear canal upon removal? I have had this issue with foam plugs from CVS lately and would find tears/blood in my ear after use (big yikes). Or maybe there's a quick fix to prevent that sort of problem?

I've never had this problem, but I bought a plastic bowl of Howard Leight plugs early on when I first experienced tinnitus. Seemed like the cheapest option and I just keep the small individual bags of it in places where I might need them.

I've used many earplugs never had this issue. Maybe you'd have success managing it as a skin care issue (dry, irritated, etc)?
Whenever I walk with hearing protection on, I hear a high-pitched tone beep in my right ear with every step I take. What in the...
I don't believe it. I just woke up from a poor night of sleep and my spike is nearly eliminated for no apparent reason.

Spike is still there and slowly returned back to the same volume as before, but this was my first breakthrough since this thing started.
Good news: the spike I can mostly hear when I'm in a silent or nearly silent area. Bad news: it's relentless and doesn't seem to be fading.
I believe my new symptoms are consistent with hydrops, so I started the AIP or whatever it's called. I'll try to stick with it through March
Also, I started wearing plugs/headphones when spending time with my family. Unfortunately, I can't trust them anymore.
If I could get rid of all the annoying tones in my ears and just have the hissing, that would be more than enough.
I wish I was more excited for all the research news coming this year, but the cycle of disappointment on repeat has toyed with me too much.
I was having an ok day until my brother threw a hot pot lid on the counter right in front of me. I don't know what will happen to my ears.
Thinking about potential CRNA dissertation topics and how crazy it would be to somehow relate tinnitus. So crazy. Unless...
Got a new sound in the right ear that's reactive. I feel like I've had this before and it calmed down then, so I'm trying to wait it out.
I have not been sleeping well at all recently. It's starting to feel like everything and everyone is working against me again.
Well, recently developed an annoying low hum out of the blue that's been messing with my sleep. It seems to be traveling between both ears.
Day 2 after 2nd Pfizer: feeling good, no problems. Injection site soreness going down. Most importantly, T is not affected.
It's funny, I can't remember what my tinnitus sounded like when it first started. It changed so much over the years.
By the way, I think my headaches are getting better. Late vaccine symptom possibly maybe? Regardless, second shot happening this weekend.
