Experimenting with DMSO for Tinnitus Relief: Personal Protocol and Early Observations

6 Month Update After 6 months of using DMSO to treat my tinnitus, on a scale of 1-10, the tinnitus in my right ear has gone from an 8 down to a 4. There haven't been as many spikes as there were in the beginning. I am continuing with the 30/30/40 solution, adding niacin powder. I did notice...

I always type detailed lists of my symptoms and then print them out before every medical appointment. It's become a pointless exercise because the doctors never know how to help me. I may as well put a new header on the top of my list that says, "Dear Santa, here's a list of my symptoms. For...

I Stopped Taking Vitamin D3 and My Tinnitus Got Quieter

Possibly of note, D3 is usually sourced from sheep's wool. I have a bad lanolin allergy, and often found before tinnitus, I'd feel a bit cruddy after taking it. I switched over to a vegan alternative, and that no longer occurred... possibly something to be aware of, as any potential allergens...

It is a medical device, not a new iPhone. I'd prefer they spend zero time on making it pretty, as I don't want to show this device off to my friends; I just want the noise in my head to quiet down. They just need to hire some engineers who are looking for work with the slowdown/lay-offs in big...

Worried About Hearing Damage After Brief Chainsaw Exposure at 12 Meters While Passing By

It was almost certainly a small spike. For me, that would clear within a week at most. If I fussed over it too much and actively worried about it, I am sure it would last longer. That is just how it seems to work for me. In fact, now I do not worry, and I would not change my behavior in any...

    Skiing with Hyperacusis and Tinnitus

Hi again. Doesn’t the helmet block out enough wind noise? Apart from that, I’d say the next step would be earplugs, ideally large foam ones that you can insert deeply. The further you insert the earplugs, the less occlusion effect they create. The same applies to earmuffs. If you have larger...

If I tense my jaw in just the right way, I can create the sound I think you're experiencing. Is it the same thing? If so, maybe it's just muscle tension. I did get a deep, fast vibration sensation/sound, like a bumblebee stuck in my ear, at one point in my recovery, which went away.
