    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

A lot of people take Clonazepam for years with no issues. If you come off gradually, then there really isn’t an issue. It’s when you stop cold turkey that it’s a problem and even then, if you’re only taking like 1 mg, nothing will happen.

Thanks for responding. Yea I got royally screwed with withdrawing from Clonazepam so I'm hoping it will chill out with just resting my ears. I have severe hyperacusis from this too, as in any sounds are extremely painful, so I'm assuming as that calms down the reactiveness will too

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

...that this was likely caused by an effect from multiple withdrawals known as kindling. I acquired tinnitus in the summer of 2017 and took Clonazepam for four months, a few times a week. The total amount of Clonazepam that I took, over the course of four months in 2017, was less than many...

@Leila on a good note after taking 0.5mg of Clonazepam as a last resort slowly over Thurs afternoon I calmed down, slept great and had a whole day the next day of feeling 90% normal. I’m wondering if crossing over to Clonazepam is the way to go in the short term bc returning to Grandaxin has me...

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

...What's weird is I've tried Melatonin before and, although it did make me admittedly quite tired, I just couldn't get to sleep without the Clonazepam (was like my brain refusing to shut off despite the fact that I was exhausted). I'm assuming Trazodone works on a different mechanism than GABA...

Ativan (Lorazepam) Is Saving Me Right Now (It Makes My Tinnitus 80-90% Better), and Tapering It Scares Me

Your dosage is roughly equivalent to 0.5 mg of Clonazepam per day. So you're taking 21 mg per week of Lorazepam. I had an Ativan (Lorazepam) prescription a while back for anxiety, with no noticeable effect on tinnitus. I was prescribed 3 x 0.5 mg per day, but I considered that way too much, so...

...because I pushed my limits. Stress and reactive tinnitus really do not mix well. At one point, about ten months in, I started taking Clonazepam when I was feeling really bad and could not sleep. That is when I stopped being constantly stressed. Once that happened, I began sleeping well...

Yes, I've followed your difficulties, buddy. You're just about off the Clonazepam now? Yes, Clonazepam and Alprazolam seem the main stay of treatment. A shame, but at least a couple of choices nonetheless. I have noticed Cyclobenzaprine and Flupentixol do benefit some people a lot?

...a lot of information available in those threads, so you can judge for yourself. The “nuclear option,” and the one I have chosen, includes Clonazepam and, in my case, Pregabalin for sleep, as I cannot get Gabapentin. I was previously taking a low dose of Mirtazapine for sleep, but it left me...

From Tinnitus Success Story to Square One After Playing Drums

Month 3 Update: I'll keep it short. Still taking a low dose of clonazepam (0.3 mg + 0.3 mg). Tinnitus: It's relatively stable. I have some good days and some that are a bit worse, but overall, it's moving within a narrow range. Sleep: No problems with sleep. There have been a few days when I...

How to Cope with Irregular Tinnitus Sounds?

...stable tinnitus. I’ve tried every supplement and sound therapy known to man, but the only things that have had any effect for me have been Clonazepam, Gabapentin, and Lidocaine patches worn on the back of the neck. Both drugs are a bit of a serious step for managing tinnitus, and many GPs may...

The Regimen of Gabapentin + Lorazepam (Ativan) + Lipoflavonoid Helps My Tinnitus

I'm interested in what country he is in. Can you imagine something like that happening in the UK? You've definitely started something with these patches. I'm getting bombarded with messages from people asking about them and buying them. I used just a quarter of a patch, and it still seemed...

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

So here's a very limited anecdote with no statistical significance. Monday night I took 0.5 mg Clonazepam. Tuesday my tinnitus tone was significantly lower in volume. So low I thought maybe it was resolving itself. Tuesday night I did not take any Clonazepam. Today my tinnitus is back to its...

Yes, my situation was quite unusual. I had catastrophic hyperacusis. I kept my storm windows closed in the summertime because I couldn’t handle the noise from distant air conditioners, which sounded as loud as Boeing 747s to me. I even installed heat pumps in my house, but I could only operate...

    Alcohol Quiets Down My Tinnitus

I don't disagree but it's only a bit short of feeling like a miracle if you're in the high-benefit group. I feel like Clonazepam mediates the response more than the volume and pitch, though, and Gabapentin seems to, when combined with Clonazepam, tamp down on volume and pitch a bit, too. It's...

Depressed and Frustrated — Thoughts About Xanax (Alprazolam) vs Klonopin (Clonazepam)?

Hi, I've had tinnitus for 15 years now, in conjunction with hyperacusis caused by my M.S. It was never an issue until recently, they hyperacusis was a much more difficult issue for a long time. In the last few weeks my tinnitus has become constant, loud (where I can't even mask it and it...
