      Hi all,

About 6 weeks ago I woke up in the night shaking and ears ringing. No clue why??! I went out to the pub 6 days before and there was no loud music.

I am 18 years old, recently moved from AUS to UK on a gap year. I told myself that it will go away but I'm loosing hope fast... I was once a very social and outgoing kid, however I feel that my life is over and that moving to the UK was the biggest mistake ever. I'm so depressed and so anxious I can't even sleep anymore.

Someone my age and for no apparent reason should ever get T. I'm so confused and lost :(

      Welcome to the forum @James123
Please don't lose heart and be depressed about the future. Your T is still very new and you can't rule out that it can fade. However your traumatic reaction is causing you much suffering right now. But this is quite common too for new T (within 6 months to 18 months). Most people will get better over time as our notable member @Bill Bauer often quoted a study to show that a high% of people will get better. So don't despair even though you are young with this T condition. In fact, young people often adjust and get better faster. Some will have T faded or gone. Others will habituate and learn to move on faster. So don't panic nor despair. Take care. God bless.

Success stories will help you calm down. I had dealt with ultra high pitch T and severe H. I was in a mess initially but now I live a normal, productive and absolutely enjoyable life. You just need to learn some helpful strategies and apply them. Check it out as I list many helpful strategies:
