It has been a long, difficult life, living with this nightmare in my head 24/7. I have always been running from loud noises, constantly worried about losing my mind or even thinking about suicide. The constant anxiety made going to school nearly impossible, but despite everything, I managed to graduate with a degree in structural engineering.

I tried everything and spoke to doctors about my condition, but my concerns often fell on deaf ears. One doctor even threw me out of his office. I was in the Marine Corps, and I suppose we Marines are expected to be so tough that ringing in the ears should not bother us.

Well, it has been 50 years, and I am still hearing that same high-pitched noise. Recently, I developed another sound, like the constant buzz of a chainsaw, a low-frequency "errr errr errr" that never stops. It is even more annoying than the high-pitched sound.

That is all I have for now.

I am so sorry that you have had to struggle for so long. Perhaps, when you eventually pass on to whatever may await us after this life, you will find some form of reward or peace.
