I've had a very low level ringing in my ears for as long as I can remember.

I only notice it in a silent room, and my brain has figured out how to tune it out. It's high pitched but not disturbing.

It pre-dates my rock concert attendance (100s without protection) as well as my playing of electric guitar. I always assumed that the universe had a sound to it (lol). My mother claims the same thing (from early age).

It's never changed in its level. But I do occasionally get a very short duration 'spike' that's a bit louder and sharper. Very occasionally, I'd guess once every few months on average.

Anyone else had a similar case?
