      Cortisol!?

Since my onset, this has really been bugging me because I feel it can hold some answers in regards to having more low days. So I've been researching anything that can cause a "reset" in the body over a 48 hour period. I was researching cortisol and adrenal fatigue, and I came across several instances where people with adrenal fatigue have experienced a cycle of fatigue one day and no fatigue the next.

      http://www.healthboards.com/boards/chronic-fatigue/1002681-chronic-fatigue-every-other-day.html

Not saying that everyone that has alternating T has adrenal fatigue but it might be caused from fluctuating cortisol levels or "burnouts" after high days. Low cortisol can cause inflammation so this might also explain if the people with alternating T have more of an inflammation issue.

Or, it could be opposite and the days with lower T are the "burnout" days where our ears/brains are exhausted from the stress activity from the higher day before.

Please challenge me or add to this but I feel this might be going in the right direction.

it's possible, I know that overall my HP axis has been bonkers and my stress hormone are sort of wackadoodle ever since I got off benzos years ago. Unfortunately, so much of "adrenal fatigue" is poorly understood. I believe there's probably something to it, but the so-called science behind it is pretty woo, and there are a lot of charlatans and snake-oil salesmen in this arena so you sort of have to feel your own way through it.

I have found meditative and dream practices to be at least as useful as anything that specialists have had to say.

@linearb Thanks for reading this post. I'm just going to try some adrenal supplements like ashagwanda as I did measure my cortisol levels and they were well below the normal - I was expecting it to be through the roof high - the lowest being around dinner time (I also made sure the company I tested with does not sell any supplements to correct it - I don't trust their results). These tests are also not 100% accurate and it's advised to test more than once. But this might be interesting for someone to try and also to see if the highs and lows correlate with T volume (or maybe testing once on a high day and once on a low day).

@RaZaH I got mine from here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015H7FHS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 however, I'm not sure if they will deliver it to you but do check it out. Usually they need to be ordered by a doctor but this company sort of does a "work around". You may find other online sellers that will deliver to your area (and directly to you) if you poke around a little on amazon.

It's also interesting that you, me and linearb all have a history of benzo/antidepressant withdrawal this can really mess up your adrenals for a very long time well past that nervous/adrenaline withdrawal feeling.
