Another Ear Ringer

[Ears a Ringing]

I have had ringing in both ears since the mid 1990's. I used to work in factories where hearing protection was optional and not encouraged. My ringing is constant at around 7000 hz. Occasionally I may get some clicking.

I have never had any treatments for the ringing at all. I am in my mid 50's now and the ringing seems to be getting louder or my tolerance for it is getting shorter.

I am researching remedies or masking to get some relief.

You can also search youtube with 'masking sounds' and you will also get lots of different nature sounds, such as rain, waves, waterfalls, running brooks, insect sounds, even shower & faucet etc. You can also order some nature sounds from youtube and download them to an ipod for mobile masking.

As for treatment, it is best you check out the Treatment section for research news and alternative treatments. AM-101 is now on trial but not sure if you will be a good candidate for their trial.
