Any Soft Mouth Jaw Hangers Out There Today?

Ever since seeing your analogy about letting your jaw hang, I've joined the club. Hanging about is a good idea once in a while. I think visualizing you jaw floating after you, actually makes the release of tension more palpable.

@Mellow7

When you've got it right, there should be
a perception that the tongue is floating in water.

Well done for learning a great life lesson bud.

Have to say guys, I had a brilliant teacher.
She really got the message home to me that the only time your teeth should close, was when you are eating.

I haven't closed my gob once in 30 years.
(...won't surprise some o' you guys....)

@glynis , @Mellow7

For much of my life I have had an ache in my right temple. I worried about what could be happening inside there. I thought the worst.
Nearly 30 years ago I went to a brilliant psychtherapist, who used hypnosis to access the subconscious and to facilitate hypnotic suggestion....
(in laymans' - she just put you out)

I learnt that my mouth posture was all wrong.
I learnt that my mouth was like a rocky cave, my teeth were clenched, my jaws shut tight, my oral muscles hard, my tongue forced up against my palate.
Classic TMJ.
It seems that we attempt to control our anxiety by having control over our jaw.
Instead of which, we need to learn to let go.

Everything was wrong.

The mouth is the seat of anxiety.

I went to this therapist for a couple of years, but what I learnt in just the first two sessions was crucial to my future relaxation and meditation.

I know I mention
"a soft mouth and a hanging jaw"
ad nauseum on here, which must get terribly boring I suppose, but if anybody picks up on it, they have the key to relaxation.

" - now listen 'ere you lot!

I'll 'ave you know I paid forty quid a time for this info,
over nearly three bleedin' years,

- an' 'ere I am givin' it away free to you lot

I dunno - I'm a fool to me own self...."

Is jaw cracking and pain in the ear when chewing something that can actually be fixed? I mean, I'm definitely trying your advice and planning to see a jaw specialist soon, but have you guys improved in that regard?
