      Hi everybody ,
So i thought about starting a thread in the Success Stories section a few days ago and im here today to tell you guys how much better i feel now .
First of all i hope you guys are doing okay ! Im sorry for everyone who is really suffering right now and i promise , things will get better sooner or later .
Okay , Im only 17 years old and it all started about 5months ago . Im a DJ since age 15 and didn't know that my life would change forever as from this date i went deejaying for my neighbour's birthday party . And of course i did it freely because he was a good friend of mine .
Here is a picture i took while at the party( Last picture before T ) :

When i returned home i realised my left ear was ringing and didn't really pay much attention to it , but when i woke up next morning, it was still there .. No need to tell you in what panic state i was ! Went to the ENT uncountable times, they gave me lot of eardrops etc but couldnt help at all . Then started to pay a private doctor , thought he could cure T but i was wrong . No need to thanks Dr.Google for all the precious info i gathered together haha !!!
Then many symptoms started to appear , ears popping all the time , pressure in ear , cant hear crickets in my right ear feels clogged all the time ( maybe hearing loss ) and louder T + reactive T in my right ear . At first i could hear it only at night , then it got worse ( Dentist fault ) and could hear it all day long. Took corticosteroid course but didnt help the T . My doctor started to give me a lot of gingko , vitamins , melatonin. I stopped them all because after 4 weeks i knew it was permanent and didnt lower T's volume. I was depressed , couldnt sleep ( woke up at night with loud T ) , panic attack , anxiety , worrying about the future, didnt talk to any of my friends or relative for some time, gave up deejaying, gave up riding my loud motorbike, stayed in my room all day long . I have to tell , if i didnt met some friends on TT , I wouldnt be in this section today . After almost 3months of suffering i tried the famous Back to Silence thread trick , and felt much better after a few days , I was getting better and better day by day . Stopped reacting to it emotionally . Plus i met two friends here and we became best friends haha ! Im forever grateful to everyone who helped me during this dark moment . I bought some foam earplugs and started riding my bike again and played music at normal volume ,it felt different and weird but better this than nothing. T stopped bothering me and i got my old life back , maybe not 100% back but not far from it .. I didnt see myself saying that ever again but i live a happy life by now ! Im back Deejaying at parties , weddings ,clubs etc with better ear protection and reducing my time on the deck .. I know what you people are thinking '' hey this guy is crazy , just got T from noise , and he is back playing with fire '' . But you know before Deejaying again or returning to my daily activities , i took the most important decision of my life "Either staying away from everything that i like and just live life or do things that makes me happier but safely '' . My decision is a really really risky because i know people who's T got worse after noise exposure , but you know if i didnt take these risks i wouldnt be a happy person today :) Here is a picture of me yesterday at my cousin's birthday party (a bit drunk haha ). First big party after T ( im either stupid or courageous ) :

For all the new sufferers here , im not saying that it is a safe idea to go near loud noise again but just do stuff that makes you happier and safely of course ! And also im so glad i found this forum , lot of awesome people , thanks for the support and thanks for reading my story guys , Take care and Have a good day/night :D Cheers

Good on you! Most advise to be very careful with loud noise, I'm only a month in, I miss my headphones and must admit I do tend to use them now and then but always worry when I do, getting back to normal if you can is great, I'm doing so much better than I was 2 weeks ago, it's good to read a positive post x

I honestly don't know where my T came from. I'll just say it's from years and years of music and loud activities. It's only been 3 weeks but it feels way longer than that. My T is very mild and my life is miserable. I can no longer concentrate without my music. I risk playing it on my speaker very lowly. I want my T to go away but I can't help not having music. My grades are slipping due to T. I'm gonna try and hang in for a month or two until I return to listening to music with hearing protection.
