      I am new to TinnitusTalk. Following a fortnight of whirling vertigo, my tinnitus is much worse on the left and I seem to be blocked up on my left side, I assume my tube is blocked. Anybody found self help methods that work? I had long periods years ago of blocked tubes, always took months to improve, and no over-the-counter stuff seemed any use. Anyone tried ginkgo biloba? Or anything else?

      I have started to gargle with salt water...any pros/cons known?

      Desperate, any help gratefully received.

      @Maggie Lt ,
      Try steam inhalation and take Sudafed and should help you.
      See your doctor whom can prescribe a nose spray if your ears stay bunged up.
      Love glynis x
