Can stress and panic/anxiety disorder make tinnitus permanently worse when you already have tinnitus?

Or will the tinnitus calm down after you have the stress and the panic/anxiety disorder under control?

      Thanks.

      Cause of Tinnitus:
loud noise and very bad sickness
It's hard to say what happens with tinnitus. If you are under a lot of stress, then your tinnitus could be bothered and become louder. Once the stress gets lower, than it would make sense for the tinnitus to ease up a bit too.

I would not think stress would make tinnitus permanently worse. The stress is probably making it temp worse for as long as the stress lasts. I have recently had a sinus infection, and couldn't sleep. This has caused great stress and I noticed my tinitus has got louder. I'm sure this is due to the sinus/lack of sleep etc as I coped well before the infection.

I hope yours improves soon, and mine also.

      All the best!
